Creative Writing 1 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute free write.  Check for Fractured Fairy Tales.  Introduce the Writer’s Eye writing activity.  View and discuss the google slideshow.  Class time to begin a Writer’s Eye piece.  HW: Completed, typed, printed, double-spaced, 12 pt., Times New Roman Fiction piece due by Friday, October 17.  Fiction Rubric.  Continue your Writer’s Notebook for the month of October.

Creative Writing 2, 3, 4 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute free write.  Discuss results of VHSL Media Championships.  What did we learn?  Introduce the Writer’s Eye writing activity.  View and discuss the google slideshow.  Class time to begin a Writer’s Eye piece.  Begin scriptwriting.  Discuss Southern Gothic elements, Tennessee Williams, and stock characters.  One-Act Play Rubric.  Distribute copies of The Glass Menagerie.  HW: Begin your Writer’s Eye piece whether it be a poem or a short story.  Writer’s Eye pieces are due by Thursday, October 23 for workshop. Critique the final personal essays through google workshop.   Continue your Writer’s Notebook for the month of October.
