Creative Writing 1 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute free write.  We will discuss revealing characters.  Distribute handout on multiple perspectives.  Share a published example of this writing exercise.  In class, begin writing a multiple-perspective piece using three different perspectives.  HW:  Complete multiple perspective activity.  Writer’s notebooks are due on Sept. 30.

Creative Writing 2, 3, 4 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute free write. Check for completed character sketch.  Pass it to four people to review for feedback.  Focus is on indirect characterization.  Through projector, discuss and complete the Steinbeck Characterization exercise.  HW: Writer’s notebooks are due on Sept. 30.
