Creative Writing 1 ~Begin class with a ten-minute free write using the quote on the board. Finish the movie, Stranger than Fiction. Discuss feelings about characters. How would you feel if you were Harold? How would you feel as a writer, to discover one of your fictional characters knocking on your door? HW: You must have completed 1. Character Tri-Dimensional structure and 2. Plot Outline for your vintage photograph assignment. I will check next class that these two things have been completed. Pick any two of numbers 2 through 10. Write them. SHOW how the characters are like this. Volunteers to share their written response. Revealing Basic Attitudes—Go over #1. Pick one of numbers 2 through 8. Write about this character’s attitude. Volunteers to share their written response.
