Creative Writing 1 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute freewrite.  Check for completed character chart information about you vintage character.  Begin writing your vintage photograph story.  If you’re liking your story then finish it for homework!  Writer’s Notebooks (30 pages) are due by October 1.  You may email typed pages to Mrs. Wood at cwood2@k12albemarle.org.Image

Creative Writing 2-4 ~ Begin class with a ten-minute free write.  Review theme and how it is revealed in a story.  Discuss the upcoming Writer’s Eye art pieces.  Spend the class time working on your Writer’s Eye piece.  It may be a poem of no more than two typed pages or a piece of fiction of no more than 1,000 words.  Remember, your atmosphere and/or theme piece is due in final, typed, printed form to Mrs. Wood on either Wednesday (Red Day) or Thursday (Blue Day) so we may begin workshop.  Writer’s Notebooks (30 pages) are due by October 1.  You may email typed pages to Mrs. Wood at cwood2@k12albemarle.org.

Filmmaking ~ We will continue our Scavenger Hunt to get familiar with the equipment.  We have already learned how to use the camera, tripod, and steadicam.  Next we will learn how to use the boom poles, condensor microphones, and light reflectors!Image
